Webinar: Sage Research Methods

This is an online training session for SAGE Research Methods, designed to give you a quick and simple introduction to the database. It supports all stages of the research process from: writing a research question, conducting a literature review, choosing the best research methods, analysing data, to writing up your results and thinking about publication.

This session - offered by the Sage Training Team from Sage, is suitable for all staff - librarians and faculty members - at institutions and organizations currently trialling the SAGE Research Methods database. (Available to all AAU staff and students)

Introduction to the SAGE Research Methods, and session outline

SAGE Research Methods core platform

  • Searching and browsing the database
  • Research Tools – Methods Map and Project Planner
  • Personalisation options – saved searches, and reading lists

SAGE Research Methods Cases

  • What are Cases?
  • How can they be used in teaching or research?

SAGE Research Methods Datasets

  • What are Datasets?
  • How can they be used in teaching or research?

SAGE Research Methods Video

  • What is SAGE Research Methods Video?
  • How can they be used in teaching or research?

Session round-up, Q&A

 

Registration and joining details

  • Go to the Webinar Webpage.
  • Next, choose your preferred session date using the "select a date" option and register by completing all the mandatory fields. Upon registering for your preferred date, you will receive an automatic email containing all the joining details for the webinar.
  • The webinar is held via WebEx and will be recorded. We recommend you connect using a headset for an optimal audio experience.
  • If you are unable to attend a session but would like to receive a copy of the recording, please sign up as usual to the next event date, and tick the box labelled "Recording only". This way, we can email you the recording after the session, but we know not to expect you at the live event!
