The AAU Research Indicator

The Aalborg University Research Indicator is used to merit diversity in research outputs by applying both bibliometrics and open science parameters. In this course, we will give an introduction to the research indicator including part A (bibliometrics) and part B (Open Science).

The AAU Research Indicator is used at department level only in terms of allocating funds. However, it is still possible for individual researchers as well as research groups to use the indicator to work strategically with incorporating Open Science into the dissemination of their work.

The course will provide an explanation of some of the principles of working with bibliometrics within research assessment; including how the AAU Research Indicator takes diversity into account in research disciplines and research fields.
